The Human Resources Department assists all city departments in meeting their service delivery responsibilities to the citizens. In addition, we assist employees in reaching their fullest potential within the City.
The Human Resources Department is responsible for administering education and development, labor and employee relations, employee benefits, compensation, recruitment, certification and selection, and retirement.
Our primary goal is providing quality, professional services for the citizens and employees of the City of Lebanon. We are committed to exceeding the expectations of the citizens and employees with diligence, integrity, and innovation.

How to Apply
After finding a position you wish to apply for on our Employment Opportunities Page download the employment application. The application must be filled out using Adobe Acrobat. If you do not have Adobe, here is the download link. If you fill out the application on Microsoft Edge, or Google Chrome the application will be blank. Before you send the attached PDF, make sure it is filled out correctly, or you may print it and fill it out by hand.
After filling it out you may submit it one of the following ways:
- If filling the application out using Adobe Acrobat you may do a 'save as' and then attach the file in an e-mail to the Human Resources Department via email.
- Fax your printed and filled out application to (417) 532-8388
- Hand deliver it to City Hall, 401 S. Jefferson
- Mail it to Human Resources, P.O. Box 111, Lebanon, MO. 65536

The Human Resource (HR) Department lets applicants REUSE an “Application for Employment” for a six month period. If you have submitted an application within the previous six months, you may request your application be used for additional job vacancies with the City of Lebanon. [NOTE: If applicable, applicants have the option of submitting an updated resume throughout this six-month period.] Please contact Sharon Kloud, HR generalist, via email, or by telephone at (417) 991-3904 to specify which job vacancies you want to add to your original “Application for Employment.”
